Pictures of Punta Gorda Florida

4th of July fireworks
at Laishley Park in Punta Gorda

It was an awesome display of sound and light

The green arrows you see in these pictures is the new technology
of e-match setting off the explosions electronically instead of with a fuse
For some reason... my camera can see it

The sheer intensity of sound and light made you feel like you were on a battlefield.
Some of these scenes remind me of something from Vietnam

e-match goes up

e-match finds its target

e-match does it again

An absolutely awesome display !

E-match doing its thing... these 3 pictures were taken only 1/30th of a second apart

The finale' was so spectacular that it made my eyes water.
I don't know if it was from not being able to blink or
because of all the power that was unleashed at one time
to celebrate this country's FREEDOM !

But it was incredible !

If anyone is interested in experiencing this fireworks display, I will have it for sale
on computer CD, VHS or DVD.  The entire exhibition was approximately 15 minutes long
for those who want it all.  But whether you're a big fireworks fan or not...
the last 2 minutes of this finale are well worth having on your computer
for a quick pick-me-up anytime you need it !

It still makes me shiver !
