Pat Newton of the Englewood Review
was there with her face paints... but today she's painting on a larger
canvas than usual.

Instead of painting children's faces for a few dollars each...
Pat was doing a free "Body Painting Performance"
and
taking donations for the
American Cancer Society's "Relay
for Life"
which will be happening all next weekend (April 2nd & 3rd)
at the Englewood Sports Complex on River Road.

The Suncoast Writers Guild
of Englewood was there with books and information about writing.
They meet 3 times a month at the Englewood Art Center on McCall Road.

I found them hanging out at the Island Hideaway
Raw Bar and Eatery in the Emporium.
While "Chico" seems to have a naturally pleasant personality...
Dusty definitely has a habit of putting words in his mouth.
